Viewed from the window opening side
If the hinge is on the left, it is a left-opening (L) window; if the hinge is on the right, it is a right-opening (R) window.
When looking directly at the opening surface of the inner window of the shielding frame
the shielding window hinge on the left is a left-inward opening (A1) window, and the shielding window hinge on the right is a right-inward opening (A2) window, as shown in the figure below.
